Have you ever been THIS tired?!?!?!

Sunday I went to wake MWC up from her nap so she would go to bed at a decent time--apparently I should have let her sleep. I picked her up and brought her to the den and put her in the recliner so I could finish mopping the floor. I came back out of the kitchen a few minutes later because I did not hear her and this is what I found!! Asleep sitting STRAIGHT up!! :) --and she gets this from her daddy and grandfathers!! They can all fall asleep sitting straight up--pretty much anywhere!!!

2 MONTHS OLD!!!!

I can't believe 2 months have already gone by!! JDC is such a sweet little boy--and LOVES to snuggle (at least right now!!) We went for his check up the other day and he is 12 lbs and 22 1/4 inches long!! *Which makes him 50% for weight and 25% for height. His doctor said he looks good and is as alert as a 4 month old!! MWC is proud to show anyone "her baby brother".--Even grandparents and our next door neighbors who have been around since the day he was born!! :) Now at night we are able to let him wake us up to eat, instead of us getting him up every 4 hours. He has been averaging about 5 hours between feedings. So we are beginning to get a little more sleep. RDC and I are beginning to adjust to having 2--we are still quite busy just learning to adjust --and allow more time to get ready to go places!!! But we would not change any of it!!! :)

A new verse....

The other day, JDC was a little fussy. While he was in the swing, I heard MWC playing and singing:

Old McDonald had a farm
E I E I O
and on that farm he had a BROTHER
E I E I O
with a WAA here and a WAA there
here a WAA there a WAA everywhere a WAA WAA
Old McDonald had a farm
E I E I O!!
I had to giggle at her new little song. I have to admit--it is quite creative!!!
I think the "helping" phase might be coming to an end!! :) She will tell me, (without stopping what she is doing) "I think he needs his passy!"

In an attempt to get a family photo....

We are learning it is a little difficult to get a good family picture when you add one more to the mix!!--And he is not even aware of what is going on yet.--Imagine when we try to get him to smile too!! But we tried on Mother's Day to get some family shots. (I think Pop said he got some good ones with his camera.) But on ours we had 4 tries and there was not one with the 3 of us all looking at the camera at the same time. However, this one was my favorite--at least we all have a genuine grin on our faces!!!!
Mother's day was good. We were able to have lunch with my mom, grandmother, and RDC's mom. Thanks Pop and Granny for hosting!!! I was spoiled rotten by my sweet hubby and both of my babies!! *Even though one of them let it slip that I was getting a necklace. :)--and it had black in it, because according to MWC, "ladies like black." That was the reason she gave her daddy!!

Anyone for a movie???

The other day RDC caught MWC bringing all her "friends" into the kitchen along with her chairs. After watching her for a few minutes--this is what he saw---
She and her friends had gone to the movies to watch "Horton Hears a Who". *In our dishwasher. :) And if you look closely, she and Elmo are discussing the film!!!!
We love to watch her play because she is really using her imagination a lot!! And we love to listen to her talk to her babies. **Sometimes though it can be eye opening when she is playing "mama" to her babies. Several times, I hear something and think, "do I really say that?!?!?!?" She is keeping us HONEST!!!!

Could he be ANY cuter!?!?!?!?!!?

Just a few pictures I took of JDC the other day while he was awake and in the bouncer. He has his times where he will stay awake for a while. And for those of you who have not seen his eyes---They are still blue and I am hoping they stay that way. RDC has some gorgeous blue eyes and MWC got them so I hope he does too!!!

I know....I know...

..it has been a while since I have blogged. :( It is not entirely my fault though!! Our Internet has been in and out the last couple of days. Some times it works--and some times it doesn't. But anyway....and my friends were right-you are MUCH busier with 2 children!! I knew we would have more to do--but not quite sure where the day goes. **And by the way with the Internet being down, I realized I don't spend quite as much time on the computer as I thought I did. And it is not the main reason housework does not get done!!! My precious children are. And I would much rather be playing or holding them then doing housework anyway!!!** But things are good. I can't believe JDC is already over a month old. It seems to be going by much quicker the 2nd time around. He is a good baby--but still fussy at times. But luckily no screaming fits!! :) He seems to love to snuggle so I am taking advantage of loving on him every minute I can. He is such the 2nd child though, already going to church, the mall, and out to eat. But it is different than having a December baby. The weather is much nicer!! He is in his bed in his room at night now. The day we moved him, RDC looked at me and said, "if you are not ready, we can wait a little longer." I said, "no, he will have to move eventually." But he is doing great sleeping at night between feedings and going back to sleep quickly after he eats.

MWC is doing great too!!! Paying more attention to him and always wanting to give him his passy. --even if he is not crying! She loves to go over and give him hugs and kisses, and will get upset if she doesn't before bedtime. We are having the typical 3 year old behavior--not wanting to listen or "explaining" why she has to do something we have told her not to do. But it is so much fun to watch her play and imagine with her babies. She still loves to perform with her guitar and microphone she got for Christmas--you never heard, "Away in a Manger" sung until it is sung to rock and roll music. : ) Her big question she ask all the time is not "why" but "what are you doing?" or "what is he/she doing?" MWC has also gotten more lovey/dovey with us--wanting to snuggle more or out of the blue we will get hugs and an "I love you, Mommy/Daddy!" There is NOTHING better than to hear that from her. *I am sure it has to do with JDC getting some attention from us--but whatever the reason, I am not complaining!!!
RDC and I are adjusting to our new lifestyle of 2 children. --Finally getting to talk when we get in bed about 10:30 or 11:00. But we would not trade it for anything. The other night JDC was up quite a bit and we were both SO tired the next day, but after I fed him that morning, he gave us the biggest grin!! And I looked at RDC and we agreed that those sweet grins make all the "hard times" worth it!!
And now for some pictures....(I am sure it is the main reason you are checking our blog!! : )

MWC loves to be outside now that the weather is getting nice and warm. (And baby has to go out too!!)--She loves to be the "mama."

So peaceful!!!
