Elmo, Oscar, Bert, Ernie.......

...and Big Bird too!! RDC, MWC, and I drove to Baton Rogue on Saturday for the Sesame Street Live show. She LOVED it!! She sang, danced and laughed. We were not sure how she would react, but we were so happy at how much fun she had. We are so glad that we took her!! (We tried to get good pictures of her but with the lights changing and her dancing, it was a little hard. However, RDC did a good job considering!!)

We love KayKay and Will!!

MWC loves to play with KayKay (my sister) and Will (her boyfriend)! KayKay can make her laugh and they have lots of fun together. The other night, they came over to eat and had a blast!! Usually, MWC is quite shy around Will, but this night, she warmed up to him. She always talks about Will when he is not here and grins very big when she sees a picture, but then when he comes around she won't go near him unless sitting with Kay Kay. But like I said, she has now warmed up. So much so that if Kay Kay went to sit next to him, MWC would yell, "I sit, I sit" and run over to the couch. We all got a good laugh out of watching her!!!

Visiting with friends!!

RDC, MWC, and I headed north last weekend to visit with some VERY good friends!! We have lots of fun just hanging out at their house and talking. In fact Sam has asked Dara and I if we ever run out of things to talk about!!!--Imagine that...also we both love to talk!! Anyway, MWC loved playing with Baby Reid who is 14 months old. And of course I had a great time visiting with my best friend from college. We miss seeing them more than we do--but we all know that they are exactly where God wants them to be.

MWC and Reid......(and yes, she put her head on his shoulder all on her own. We think we have a little flirt on our hands!!!)

NEW HOUSE!!

While MWC and I were visiting Grandaddy, RDC put together her new "house" for the backyard. He wanted to surprise her when she got home. She loved it!!! We bought it the day we got her slide, but this was the first chance he had to put it together. When we got home, she walked outside and grinned VERY big!!! MWC loves to go outside and play in her house. Her favorite thing to do is to wash her hands. So now most days when she wakes up, she says "House, outside!!" Luckily, she loves to be outside. And is a great time for her to love to be there, because it has been gorgeous and we have had lots of fun!! (And SHHHHH.. we are going to surprise her with her own small broom and dust pan for her new house!!)

Traveling by car AND train!!!

Last Wednesday, MWC and I left with Granny and headed to Dallas/Fort Worth. Granny stayed in Dallas with Aunt JAC and Grandaddy came and got MWC and I and took us on to Fort Worth to spend some time with him and Aunt EJW. Anyway, we had lots of fun and stayed very busy!! (MWC is still trying to catch up!) But one of her favorite new things she did was riding the train. At first she was not too sure about what was going on, but once she got comfortable, she had to sit in her OWN seat by herself. She loved to look out the window and see what was going on. So when RDC got there on Friday, we had to ride again on Saturday so he could see her ride the train. Unfortunately, Aunt JAC got sick and we did not get to go spend the night with her as we had planned. :( That just means we have to make another trip!!!!!

Daddy's cupcakes....

(I thought I had posted about MWC helping make her Daddy's birthday cupcakes, but I found them on our camera the other day--oops!! But--better late than never!! :)

For his birthday, RDC requested cupcakes instead of a cake, so on his birthday MWC and I headed to the kitchen to make his cupcakes. Since we are in a phase of "I do it!", it took a little longer for a two year old to make them then for me to just whip them up. But we had a lot of fun making them together. (And I think her daddy liked the fact that she helped too!!) We did get them done with minimal mess and we all enjoyed eating them!! They really did taste very good!!

The big helper hard at work!! Singing to Daddy....
