A wee bit confused...

Now JDC loves his passy!!! Way more so than MWC did.  So the other day, she found an old puzzle and got it out.  The next thing I know, I saw JDC doing this...

And when comparing the knobs to the puzzle piece and his passy....they are similar shapes!

And he played with this for several minutes!!! I got quite a kick out of him doing this!!!

More backtracking...

Something else REALLY fun that happened in December was MWC had her first spend the night company over!! One her birthday we went and picked up her great friend AEH to come over and spend the night.  She was soooooo excited!!! We picked up AEH had supper at Wendy's and then came home for them to play!! Then the next morning, RDC took them to get donuts and then after some playing outside, her daddy came to get her.  They both did VERY well!!! They got along with minimal discussion about what to play next and yes--we all did get some sleep!!!  After about 20 minutes of them sitting in the bed commenting about the pretty things in MWC's room we figured we better separate them if we were going to get any sleep.  So MWC went to our bed with her daddy and I laid with AEH.  ---and that was about 11:00.  It would not have mattered how late they had stayed up, but I knew we had all been busy with family and Christmas and I did not want to send her home EXTREMELY exhausted and not in a good mood!! But I know there will be plenty more pallet parties where those two can giggle to their hearts content!!!

MWC's 4th birthday!

Since MWC turned 1 we have always had family over on her actual birthday to celebrate.  And of course this year was no different.  We are so fortunate that all the family was able to be here except WLG but he was waiting on the dish man--LONG story--don't ask!! :) Anyway we had fun and were able to celebrate our little girl turning 4!!!!  She really has gotten into the whole "birthday" thing and enjoyed being the center of attention--not that is not like that all the time!!!

Let's backtrack....

Since it was so busy for us before Christmas, some things I wanted to blog about got "put off" due to other things going on.  So I wanted to catch up and share somethings with you before things get busy again!!!!

FIRST DENTAL VISIT!!

On December 2nd, MWC had her first dental appointment.  She did GREAT!!!  I made an appointment too because the dentist we see allows a child to watch a parent get their teeth cleaned before they do.  I thought WONDERFUL--She usually does fine with things when she knows what  to expect.  Before the "big day" we had talked about what they would do, how the chair would lay back and that they would wear masks to keep germs off of her and the lady cleaning her teeth.  She seemed ok with all of that--so I thought getting to watch one of us was an extra bonus.  So we get there--of course Daddy goes too and they call me back.  The hygienist told me they would get me started and then call her back.  But after my X-rays she comes back in and says, "she's doing great!" And I thought good....then I thought----doing great at what?!?!? They were already cleaning her teeth!!! Luckily, RDC knows me VERY well and came and got the camera to take pictures!!!! :)  I hated that I was not there for it, but at least RDC was and I was just happy that she did so well!!! She finished before I did so they let her come in there with me and she had the BIGGEST grin on  her face!!! She was there when the dentist came to check my teeth and she said, "now don't squirm."  :)  But she told me she has 20 teeth and no cavities.  And best of all, " she LOVES the dentist!!" (in fact the other day she asked if we could go!!! :)  **she gets that from her soon-to-be Uncle WLG--he LOVES the dentist!!!

Christmas at our house...

This Christmas was VERY busy, but very fun!! Santa left MWC and JDC a SWING SET in the backyard!!! She was very excited and JDC loves to swing!! You put him in and he goes to grinning!! It is toooo cute!!! Christmas Eve was spent at BeBe's celebrating with her andGrandmama opening gifts and our traditional "Happy birthday, Jesus cake.  We had lots of fun and brought lots of stuff home!!! :)  Christmas morning, we had to WAKE the kids up!! yes that is right!! We woke them up about 8:30!!! I was thinking that MWC was going to be up very earlybecause when 

we put her to bed Christmas Eve, she walked back out of her room 5 minutes later and said, "Good morning!!!" But she didn't so we got a fairly late start opening gifts.  After we finished, Grandaddy, EJW, and KayKay came over for gifts and lunch.  It was a kinda crazy day, but we enjoyed it.  Then for supper we went over to Pop and Granny's to have dinner and celebrate with them and Aunt JCH and Uncle GMH.  Again--more stuff to bring home!!!! :) We had a great time celebrating and MWC seemed to understand why we celebrate.  She still asks to read stories about "Baby Jesus" and is still singing "Happy Birthday, Jesus."  One of her favorite gifts seemed to be a star station that lets you perform i

n front of the TV--microphone and all!!  However, the system only worked some of the time, so we returned it and are waiting for the store to get some more.  Luckily, it was a gift from Mama and Daddy--so there was no exchanging with the "north pole"!!! :)

A GREAT way to start the New Year!!!

Is there anyway better than to start the new year than lying in your bed and watching Sesame Street?!!??!?!? :) 

This is how our day started yesterday and it has just gotten better!!! RDC has been off most of  this week so we have been hanging in our pjs not doing much of ANYTHING but spending time together!! So I will blog more about Christmas and birthday after things get back to "normal". But for now I am going to enjoy doing nothing with my family!!!! Happy New Year!!!
