And three became four!!!!

That is just what happened on Monday, March 24, 2008. RDC, MWC, and I were blessed with a precious baby boy to add to our family!!! We are so excited and are having so much fun being a family of four. I have gotten quite spoiled by having RDC around 24/7 and as MWC and I tell him, "we are going to be so sad," when he goes back to work tomorrow. :( But we are doing well and adjusting. Big sister is doing well--doesn't pay toooo much attention to him, but will look for him and wonder what he is doing. Always has to give him a kiss before going to bed and loves to help by putting his passy in his mouth. He is sleeping good and eating every 3-4 hours. We had some trouble with him getting fidgety at night, but have seemed to resolved that--and last night when he wasn't up eating, he was sound asleep in the cradle. We feel so very blessed that God has chosen to give us a son. I am already so much in love with my "little man!!" Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers and can't wait to continue to share what life is like for us with 2 children!!!!! :)

Can't get much better than this!!!!!!

Well....Its a BOY!! And he is precious! This Carley and I am proud to introduce the newest member of the Cox Family! JDC was born at 1:43 p.m. weighing 7 lbs. 8 oz and is 20 1/4 in. long. We think he is sooo big compared to Miss Priss who was his size at 2 months! He is the sweetest little boy and Big Sister is adjusting great, I wish I had a video of her talking to her brother, she is so sweet and gentle with him. In fact when he was in the viewing area and the nurse was cleaning him off Miss Priss tapped on the glass to tell her Daddy to tell the nurse to "Be gentle" with her brother, it was too sweet. Thanks to all who called to check on everyone, hopefully Mama, Daddy, Baby, and Big Sister will get some good rest tonight so they can visit all day tomorrow! I just left AWC and RDC at the hospital and she was watching "The Bachelor" and nursing so I think she will be fine =).
Miss Priss is with her Granddaddy so we know she is getting spoiled rotten! Thank you for all your prayers and calls they are much appreciated!

Well--the day is here!!

It is hard to believe that after 9 months of waiting and praying that in just a few hours we will be holding our 2nd child!!! It seems like forever until around 1:00!! There are so many emotions and thoughts going on I am not sure I can sit here long enough to process them all. RDC and I luckily got a good night sleep--well except getting up and going to the bathroom 3 times!! :)--but just part of it. Please just say a special prayer for us all--and especially for MWC as she transitions from only child to BIG SISTER today!!! She seems very excited and over the last few days has been VERY ADAMANT that Baby Elmo is a boy!!!! She told me at lunch Saturday when I would ask her, "but what if she is a girl, what are we going to call her?" She said, "no you are having a baby boy." And at one point put her hand on her head and said, "You not listening to me!!" But I know if the Lord blesses us with another girl, she will be fine and adjust!!! :) The Lord has shown me tooooo many times in my life that His plan is perfect and He knows whether our family needs another precious girl or if we need a sweet little boy. So whatever "baby Elmo" is -is the perfect fit for our family!!! Again, thank you for your prayers today and we will post as soon as possible!!

Egg dyn' and huntin'

It was such a pretty day today that after we dyed the Easter eggs, MWC hunted some in our backyard. When we asked her what colors she wanted to dye them, she replied, "pink!" (Not even really sure why we asked her--since I should have known that would be her answer!!) RDC did convince her to pick one more color for 2 of them. But she enjoyed dying them and then adding some glitter. She really got into hunting the eggs once RDC had hidden them. It was such a fun day to be outside and watch her run around!!!

Pop's yard helper!!!

Last week while I was at my doctor's appointment, MWC spent the morning with Pop and Granny. Pop had some yard work and it was a pretty day, so she got to work with him!! (He says she was a big help!!! :) She loved "cleaning" anything that would sit still, watering the plants, and digging with her shovel. After they were all finished, Pop made her a house out of a cardboard box for her and Darla (her doll) to sit and rock in!! They stayed outside the ENTIRE time I was gone!!! I am not sure who had more fun or is more excited about him being retired---MWC or Pop!!!!!

Bed buddies and Belly shots!!

Well we had a first at our house a couple of weeks ago. KaKa was out here at nap time and wanted to take a nap with MWC. I thought-UH-huh we can try but MWC does NOT go to sleep with someone in the bed with her. I was afraid I was going to have to be "bad cop" and go in there and get KaKa. But surprisingly they both slept like babies!! :) --Actually KaKa was asleep first!!! --Which probably helped MWC go to sleep.

The sleeping beauties!!!

I had another doctor's appointment today. And everything still looks good. I am measuring right on time and Baby Elmo is still safely tucked inside!! Very active...sometimes I feel like he/she is about to just jump right on out!!!! I cracked up today because after my appointment I went to Babies R Us to get a few things and 2 different people--in the same store---one said, "oh it looks like a boy!" And the other said, "it is a girl! I should know--we just had one!!!" I just left the store laughing. It was quite comical. So I just told them both, "well we will know in 2 1/2 weeks!!"

And now for some belly shots!!!!
