She gets that from me.....:o)

My whole life, my mama has ALWAYS been big into birthdays. Now that does not mean we always got BIG, expensive presents,  but she always made big deals of our our birthdays. You got to pick what you want to eat, what kind of cake and so on. **Sometimes we also had birthday weeks!!-Celebrating some with mama and then going with daddy to celebrate!!-Well she passed that onto me.  I LOVE planning and doing birthdays!!  You can just as RDC!! (I might have overwhelmed him a bit when we starting dating!! :o)  Anyway, it seems MWC has picked up that gene!! If she sang Happy  birthday to JDC one time last Tuesday, she sang it 50 times!! And then a few times when he got fussy for one thing or another, she genuinely got upset and said, "He can't cry. It is his birthday!"  And of course she LOVED helping him blow out his candles!!  I just pray that she keeps that sweet spirit that God has given her and NEVER outgrows it.  As I hear RDC say many times a day......"I love this girl!!"--We do LOVE this girl and are so blessed that God gave her to us!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WLG!!!!

We are just FULL of special days this week!!! Today is WLG's (future Uncle to MWC and JDC--in about 6 weeks--YEA!!!) birthday!!!! KaKa fixed a fabulous birthday meal and we were able to go and celebrate with them. Happy birthday, WLG--can't wait to spend lots and lots more with you!!!!

Our sweet JDC--what a year this has been!! I can't believe this year has come and gone.  It seems like yesterday we were telling MWC she was going to be a big sister and she named you "Baby Elmo" and that is what you were called until we found out you were our son.  We have loved you from the day we knew  you were going to enter our family.  Your daddy and I love you more than we could ever express.  We pray daily that you will become the Godly man that He has planned for you to be.  (You have a GREAT example in your Daddy--so  you will have a good teacher!! :0) ) I can't wait to watch you grow and continue to learn so many new things!!! I love you bunches, My little Man!!

A few firsts....

A few weeks ago we took JDC for his first haircut.  Just like MWC, we did not make it to 1 year before he needed a little trim.  He did GREAT!! We were only able to get a few pictures because every time he heard the camera, he would turn his head to see what the  noise was!! --Nosy little thing!! :)

RDC and I were able to take MWC to her first baseball game the other night. She LOVED it!!! She actually sat and watched most of the game. At one point, she asked me what had just happened and I told her, "I told her I did not know, I was not watching." (I was doing my usual "people watching :).) She s

aid, "Mama, you need to watch the game."  :)  But she actually picked up on what was going on--but she did put her "spin" on the teams. Her team was #4--"because she is 4".  Daddy's team was 35--because he is 35." :) She did much better than I thought she would.  RDC and I are definitely going to be taking her back!!!! Thanks--EJW for the suggestion and going with us!!!!  

One weekend ago we could not resist taking the kids to the zoo.  The weather was perfect and a great way to start Spring.  We also enjoyed a fun ride on the train. Here are some pics of our trip.

We LOVE the beach!!

This past weekend we were able to go with BeBe to the beach!! It was supposed to be 70 and sunny--so we figured, well, we won't be able to get in the water, but we at least can play in the sand--and just have a weekend AWAY!! Well--it ended up being COLD and windy.   But that did not stop us from at least heading down there.  Our trip was not that long, so we wanted to make the best of it.  So we headed down.  MWC and Bebe had fun running in and out of the water.--I ran in once and decided NOT to go back in!! :)  She and her daddy were at least able to make a sand castle or two and bury their feet in the sand.  And Saturday night, BeBe was sweet enough to take care of the babies so RDC and I could have a date out!! She has some cousins who lived just 30 minutes away from where we were staying and she wanted to visit them.  And guess how good God is?!?!? Her cousins were babysitting their grandchildren that night too!! So MWC was able to play with their 5 year old granddaughter so BeBe could visit!!  It worked out sooooo great!!  Even though it was a short trip--we had a GREAT time and can't wait to go back when it is warmer! But who can pass up a chance to get to the beach?!?!?!? :)

WHERE HAVE WE BEEN?!?!?! :)

WE HAVE BEEN BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!  Luckily a good bit of last week we were able to be outside and play when the weather was warmer!! We were able to play on the swingset and go bike riding and riding in the wagon.  Both MWC and JDC LOVE being outside!! And I enjoyed it too--especially after being inside for so long!! :)

We were also able to go to the beach last weekend with BeBe!! It was a quick but VERY fun trip!! I will post more about it with pictures as soon as I download them off the camera.
