3 INCHES!!!

That is how much we got cut off MWC's hair this past Saturday. We have had her hair trimmed before, but never quite this much. It had just gotten so long (to the middle of her back) and is very thick~~so she would get very hot outside. RDC said he thinks this length suits her better. I loved it long, but I like it this way too. Except for the fact that she looks even more like a little girl with it just below her shoulders--which is a little hard for me. But we are glad we did it!!

Not supposed to happen...

...until at least she was a pre-teen!!! Most of the time now she calls us "mom" or "dad". We are no longer Mama or Mommy or Daddy. And to make it even shorter, she will say "Thanks, Mom!" I mean she is only 2 1/2!!!!! Not 12 1/2!!! And of course she thinks it is funny!! One of us will "how about you call us Mommy/Daddy?" And she will grin and say, "mom/dad." Luckily it is not all the time and hopefully this is just a phase. She is growing up too fast anyway, much less to jump to a "pre-teen" state!!

Celebrating birthdays!!!

As we have said in an earlier post, we have a lot to celebrate in July. So yesterday, we had 2 parties. One was for some friends who turned 2-CB and BB. It was a swim party with a big water slide. Of course MWC loved it!!!!

After we left there we went and celebrated KayKay's birthday!! We ate shrimp and sang happy birthday and ate Italian Creme cake. (Well they did, I was a little full from nibbling at both parties!!) But we enjoyed both and loved being a part of celebrating their big days!!!

Happy 80th (yes-her 80th) birthday, Grandmama!!! Yes-July is a very busy month for us celebrating but we enjoy it!! We love you, Grandmama and we hope you have a wonderful birthday!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, RDC!!!

Happy 7th Anniversary, RDC!!! I am so very thankful everyday that it was in God's plan for us to spend our life together. You are a wonderful listener, supporter, father, and caring man who shows me each and everyday how much you love me. I feel like the luckiest women in the world to be able to call you my husband and I am proud to say that I am your wife. I could go on and on about the reasons I love you or how blessed I am that you are in my life. Happy Anniversary, Hansome!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!

Do you need a personal shopper??

MWC is such a little shopper!! She has always loved to play with shopping carts. Before she had one and we would go play at someone elses house who did, that is ALL she wanted to play with. We got her one for Christmas and she still loves to play with it!! Her new thing now is to go where we keep some of her food and juice and put them in her buggy!!! (Also notice she is wearing my shoes. ) A couple of times, I have gone to get her fruit or juice and the cabinet is empty, so I have to go "shopping" in her cart!! :) The other day her sweet Daddy showed her how she can "check out" at home. They went over to her art table and put the groceries on the table and I hear "Beep." And then he put them in a Wal-Mart bag. It was priceless!!! I did not get any pictures of that because I started videoing. Now even if RDC is not here and she is going shopping she will go to the art table and I hear her saying, "beep." It is so much fun to watch her~~and wonder what is going on in that little mind. Most of the time now....she tells us what she is thinking. But I have to admit, we love every minute of hearing what she has to say. Even though sometimes she has a lot to say!! :)

Food, friends and fireworks......

...well me missed the fireworks because of rain, but we enjoyed picnicking with friends. A 4th of July tradition in our house has been to go to a local "balloon glow". Several hot air balloons inflate the balloons and around sunset all "glow" the fire together to make quite a show. So this year was no different. We went last Friday night and several of our family friends met us there. The children had fun running around playing together while the adults socialized (which can make anything fun!!). It started raining so we missed the fireworks---but maybe next year.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY POP!!!

Today is Pop's birthday!! MWC loves to go and play with her Pop. Her favorite is either hide and seek or for Pop to just pull her around in the laundry basket. And sweet Pop always does with a smile on his face!! WE LOVE YOU POP AND HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY!!!
