Weekend Away...

Last weekend, RDC and I had the privilege to go to a marriage retreat with other couples from our church. It was awesome!!! We really enjoyed the time away being able to focus on each other and give each other undivided attention. We missed our little girl and were glad to be back home with her Sunday afternoon. RDC and I had both heard that children can grow and change over the course of a few days. Well....that came true to life last Sunday. MWC seemed to have become even more of a little girl while we were gone. She started saying more 2 and 3 word things on a consistent basis. We love to hear her say "hey mommy, hey daddy". But I have to say I think we both agree the best is to hear, "lud you, mommy or lud you daddy. " It will touch your heart and make you grin no matter what kind of mood you are in. Seeing her change so quickly is just another reminder of how fast she is growing and how you can blink and time has passed.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

I know to the rest of the world it is a day early~~but in our house it is right on time. You see in our house, February 14th is RDC's birthday!!! Yes he is a Valentine's baby. But since you only have one birthday a year, we celebrate the 14th as his birthday and Valentine's the day before. RDC, MWC, and I hope you have a WONDERFUL Valentine's day!!!

SWIDE!!!!

MWC loves to play on the slide! When we go to the park, she does that the most. RDC and I have been talking about getting her a slide when it got warm, but today it was so nice she and I went outside to play. But I felt so bad because she does not really have anything to play on. ~And bubbles and balls can only go so far. So we went out tonight and got the slide we had picked out. She was SOOOOO excited!! All the way to the store, she would holler "Swide!" When we got home, of course we had to put it together for her to play on tonight~~~inside!!! :) She loved it!! I think we are going to be "swiding" all day tomorrow.

This is what happened when we told her it was time to stop and go take a bath!
