HAPPY, HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY!!!

We had so much fun today celebrating our best surprise ever!!! ~~Our "bonus baby" as someone described him!! He is definitely a precious bonus!!  

Dear AWC, 
        We love you so very much! This first year has been such a fun time with you.  You are so loved~ especially by your big brother and sister.  :) And you love them very much too! You have such a fun personality and are always into something. :) Being our precious third child you just roll with the punches. Your daddy sometimes calls you "trooper" because you just go with the flow and barely fuss~even if you have missed a nap or are up WAY past your bedtime!! We are so very glad that God chose to surprise us with you! I can't think of a better surprise!!! I can't wait to see what the next year holds with you and how you are going to continue to contribute to our family.

Wordless Wednesday :)

So before he turns a year.....

I figured I would document some things about his first year. :) AWC is affectionately known as "trooper" around our house.  He just goes with the flow. :) He never really throws a fit even when he misses a nap or is passed time for him to eat. He just hangs in there!! He ADORES his brother and sister! His face just lights up when they come in the room. And the feeling is VERY mutual. :) If he is napping, MWC or JDC will come to me and ask if it is time to wake him up.  We are so very fortunate that they all love each other that much!! (Even as I type this, MWC just came in and asked if she could wake him up!)

He started crawling on his first Thanksgiving (11/22/2012. :) Fortunately, we were all here to witness it. He became quick~ FAST! It is the CUTEST thing to see him come to you with his big grin and booking it straight to you.  I am pretty sure it is one of RDC's favorite part of the day! :) He is into EVERYTHING~we are never really sure where we are going to find him.

AWC LOVES the puppy dogs. He will crawl to the back door  or to the window in his room and just stare and tap until they come.  If you ask him what a puppy dog says, usually we get a little woof.:)

Our Lady Liberty

At MWC's school each year she does a program. The 2nd grade always does "Let Freedom Ring" around Veteran's Day.  MWC had the privilege of being selected Lady Liberty and have a few speaking parts.  One of her speaking parts was to lead the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. She did a FANTASTIC job.  (Of course, I am a little biased.:) But the day she was assigned the part, she ran in the door and yelled, "Mama, I have a surprise!!!! I am going to be Lady Liberty in our program!" I love her enthusiasm. She worked very hard each day learning her lines and practicing.  We were certainly proud of her and her hard work.

Even WLG came to watch!!:)

 

Our little punkins' on Halloween

This year my choice was to have all my 3 babies at least coordinate on their costumes. Who am I  kidding~I would LOVE for them to coordinate EVERY year!! And for the first few years, I have been able to coordinate MWC and JDC. My pick was for MWC to be a farm girl and for the boys to be animals from the farm. And all were on board until I happened to find Spider-man costume on sale and brought it home just for JDC to play in and wear. Well, once he saw it ~he HAD to be Spider-man  And I am willing to pick my battles for more important things! :) However, once I remembered that JDC was a scarecrow his first year~guess what AWC became?!?!?! He and MWC still did coordinate ~she was still a farm girl, but he became her scarecrow on the farm. :)

We went to some friends' house who were hosting a block party to help out and let the kids play and ride on the hayride.

What MWC has been up to.....

MWC is now in the 2nd grade and we are very fortunate that she is a very good student who LOVES school!! She ADORES her brothers and is a great big sister to both of them.  One of her favorite things to do now is her hip hop class.  This is her first year and looks forward to each Thursday afternoon. MWC continues to love doing the dance camps that have been offered by the local high school~even getting to dance on the field at the football game  :) I can not say enough how proud we are of her or brag on her enough! She is very considerate of others and amazes us each day!!

First day of second grade!!

Finally~~ a little more time?!?!?

Not really sure how MUCH more time I have, but I do have some and I am going to really try to make more time for the blog! It is really important to me that the kids remember some of the fun, great things we did with them growing up and that the special things they did were VERY important to their Daddy and I. I will not be able to completely update during this post because several things we have done deserve their own post, but I can quickly highlight somethings!! :)

The MOST important thing that has happened to us lately is~~we have a new family member!! Aunt CWG and Uncle WLG welcomed sweet baby WLG in June!!! :) He is absolutely precious and our kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE being cousins!! And they ADORE sweet "W". CWG is working part time so we have the privilege of seeing him EVERYDAY!!! JDC wakes up most mornings asking if W is coming today! I am excited that "W" and AWC are only 4 months apart and will get to grow up together seeing each other A LOT!!! CWG and I hope that they will become and stay the best of friends!!

Yes~Superman was there to welcome WLG into the world!! :) And MWC was so excited she made her and her brothers "I am a cousin" post~it signs!! :)

Lots of other things to share~beach trip, dance camps, first day of school pics, etc. ~but again I will save those for their own posts.  ~Including a separate update for each of our babies!!! :) So stay tuned.......
