That is all we heard last Saturday at the zoo until we saw them. Last weekend, we went to the Memphis Zoo with some other families. I knew she LOVED elephants, but I did not realized how OBSESSED she was. :) Every time we got to an animal, she seemed unimpressed since they were not elephants. And the comment we would get was, "See elephants, Mommy, Daddy, see elephants!" Of course when we did get there, she said, "Oh." (Not the reaction I was expecting!!) However, she did want to stand there and watch them more than other animals. And she thought one of the elephants was playing hide and seek since he moved to the other side. So she covered eyes and started counting!!! It was tooooo cute!!! She also rode the Merry Go Round for the first time. Well--let me rephrase that....first time she rode it happily!!! The other two times she has ridden, it has been with RDC or I on the bench. She would act like she wanted to ride and then flip out and cry. So we would just sit with her. And other times we have been around one and ask if she wanted to ride, we would get an definite "NO!" But on Saturday we had lunch next to it, and she told RDC, "I wanna ride." So they got in line and she almost did not want to get on her bear, but RDC got her on it. And she LOVED it! He said she grinned the whole time. In fact when it was over she wanted to "ride it 'gin!!" So it was a positive, fun day all around!!!! Unfortunately, she did get tired, as all the kids did, and we only saw about half of the zoo. So we are definitely going to have to take a trip back!!!
Waving to the animals!!
Talking with Mrs. TP about the ELEPHANTS!! (Everyone else knew how much she wanted to see them!!!)
Elephants, are you?!?!!?! (that is her shortened version of "where are you??)
Sorry so fuzzy but trying to get a shot of her enjoying the ride!!
Who can resist taking of their shoes and splashing in the water fountain?? :)
