Wordless Wednesday

Fall festival fun!!

I am guessing that my years of dressing them in "matching" costumes is coming to an end, so I took FULL advantage this year!! :) We let MWC pick who she wanted to be --and it was a BIG toss up between Ariel and Dora--- and then we picked for JDC. :) (But doesn't he make the CUTEST Sebastian you have ever seen?!?!?!) Anyway, we are lucky that MWC's friend AEH LOVES to dress up so they were sweet enough to let us pick out something cute for MWC to wear. Last week we went to her school's fall festival and then Saturday night we went to our church for some more fun and games.

At her schools festival, JDC's favorite game throwing toilet paper in the REAL toilet bowl. :) (And luckily--not he has not repeated that game at home!! :)

MWC loved the fishing game--but mostly I think she enjoyed running around with her friends---the little social butterfly that she is!! :)

And at the church Saturday night they really enjoyed sliding on the big slide and playing in the inflatables. And RDC being the good daddy that he is, got to go down the slide and through the obstacle course MANY times!!!

It was a good thing we had an extra hour to catch up because we had two TIRED babies after the night was over!!!

Our Soccer Star....

This year, MWC decided she wanted to play soccer. (Well she REALLY wants to play T-ball but that is not until the spring.) So we decided to do fall soccer. The first few practices she did great! She kicked the ball did the fun drills and really seemed to enjoy it!! So we were THRILLED for the Saturday when it was time to play. She was one of the first ones to play and she did good. Kicked the ball, ran with her team, and paid attention to what her coach asked her to do. Then for some reason.....meltdown!! She DID NOT want to go back in to play. RDC and I were floored!! It really surprised us. She eventually did go back in and played "goalie." Now in her age group, they don't have goalies, but her sweet coach let her stand in front of the net. But we were glad she got back in there and played. And now the last two games have gotten better and better. She may not be in the "pack" fighting for the ball, but she is at least in there and helping her team out. RDC said next year (if she chooses to play again) "he will work with her on strategy and helping get the ball in the net." But for now, we are just happy she is playing and enjoying herself and not sitting on the sidelines sad!! :)

Punkin' Time!!!

Today, MWC and I were able to go to the Pumpkin Patch with her school. It was sprinkling this morning so I was not sure we were going to be able to go. But it cleared up and we had a GREAT time!! The sun ended up coming out and by the end we were HOT. We were able to ride the hayride, see some animals and pick out a big ole pumpkin to bring home. I can't wait for many more field trips with her!!! :)
