Dyen', Huntin', Eatin'

We had a very good Easter weekend. RDC was off for Good Friday so we started our weekend by dyeing some Easter Eggs. MWC loved it, but only lasted so long until she was ready to move on to something else. Her favorite part was decorating them with stickers. Saturday we went to our church and she hunted eggs with friends. Since it was too cold to hunt outside, they hid some in the preschool rooms. She was more interested in playing with they toys in the room than finding any eggs. But she did get the hang of it and found PLENTY!!! And of course once she realized there was candy in them.......that is where her attention went. (In fact that is how I bribed her to sit still for a picture. :) And then Sunday we had a great service at church celebrating the reason we have Easter Sunday!! After church family came to our house and we ate, and ate, and ate. Unfortunately not everyone was able to come home and celebrate and we missed them being here!!!!!! But RDC hid some eggs again for MWC to hunt. And since there were not near the distractions, she found them all in a reasonable amount to time. The best "unmade" plans...

We had the best Saturday!! RDC had been gone every night last week so we were looking forward to Saturday and spending lots of time together. RDC wanted us to go to the park and have lunch and feed the ducks. However, when we woke up it was cloudy. So we had a great day just hanging around the house doing NOTHING!! And I wasn't sure if MWC was more excited that Daddy was home or if RDC was excited to be home. We played, watched videos, snuggled, and all took naps!! It was a great day. (Kinda wish we had more of those!!)

...and Big Bird too!! RDC, MWC, and I drove to Baton Rogue on Saturday for the Sesame Street Live show. She LOVED it!! She sang, danced and laughed. We were not sure how she would react, but we were so happy at how much fun she had. We are so glad that we took her!! (We tried to get good pictures of her but with the lights changing and her dancing, it was a little hard. However, RDC did a good job considering!!)

Happy Birthday to Will !!!

Today is Will's birthday and we hope KayKay spoils him rotten.

We love KayKay and Will!!

MWC loves to play with KayKay (my sister) and Will (her boyfriend)! KayKay can make her laugh and they have lots of fun together. The other night, they came over to eat and had a blast!! Usually, MWC is quite shy around Will, but this night, she warmed up to him. She always talks about Will when he is not here and grins very big when she sees a picture, but then when he comes around she won't go near him unless sitting with Kay Kay. But like I said, she has now warmed up. So much so that if Kay Kay went to sit next to him, MWC would yell, "I sit, I sit" and run over to the couch. We all got a good laugh out of watching her!!!

Visiting with friends!!

RDC, MWC, and I headed north last weekend to visit with some VERY good friends!! We have lots of fun just hanging out at their house and talking. In fact Sam has asked Dara and I if we ever run out of things to talk about!!!--Imagine that...also we both love to talk!! Anyway, MWC loved playing with Baby Reid who is 14 months old. And of course I had a great time visiting with my best friend from college. We miss seeing them more than we do--but we all know that they are exactly where God wants them to be.

NEW HOUSE!!

While MWC and I were visiting Grandaddy, RDC put together her new "house" for the backyard. He wanted to surprise her when she got home. She loved it!!! We bought it the day we got her slide, but this was the first chance he had to put it together. When we got home, she walked outside and grinned VERY big!!! MWC loves to go outside and play in her house. Her favorite thing to do is to wash her hands. So now most days when she wakes up, she says "House, outside!!" Luckily, she loves to be outside. And is a great time for her to love to be there, because it has been gorgeous and we have had lots of fun!! (And SHHHHH.. we are going to surprise her with her own small broom and dust pan for her new house!!)
